And perhaps our greatest calling is to unite earth and heaven in the body itself, becoming a traveler who can journey between worlds.
Our spiritual ancestors envisioned such a person as truly transformed: gifted with inner wholeness, sacred wonder, and cosmic belonging.
This is the Heavenly Human.

My name ליסע (Lisa) means to travel in Hebrew.
Over the past eight years, I've traveled, spiritually and physically, across Mesopotamia and the desert.
Along the way, I began catching tantalizing glimpses of a lost spiritual vision I now call the Heavenly Human.
I especially find this wisdom still alive in the diverse sacred histories of Edessa and Harran, in Israelite and Jewish mysticism, and the Gnostic and Syriac traditions of prayer, music, and mystical ascent.
Following the threads of theHeavenly Human through history and landscapes changed my life. House of Divine Radiance grew from these years of pilgrimage into a space devoted to celestial sacred union, and what it might look like today.

We draw from Mesopotamian and Levantine temple sources, Israelite mysticism, Apocalyptic Judaism, Syriac and Egyptian Christianities, and mystical Islam. As we travel with early Pilgrims of the Heavenlies, we ask ourselves one simple question:
How might their wisdom guide us forward amid a culture that has lost its belief in free passage between Earth and Heaven?
